Managing Diabetes Type 2 – For The Overweight And Obese

There are now about 250 million diabetes sufferers worldwide that this disease is no considered epidemic. With many countries becoming more wealthy and developed it is common to hear of many of their medical health studies showing an increasingly high diabetes rate. Managing diabetes type 2 is a national priority among many countries and targeting people who are overweight even if they don’t have the disease seems to be the right solution.

In Singapore for example, the problem is similar as the 2010 National Health Survey reported that the diabetes rate is at its highest in 12 years. The obesity rate in the country of 11% is very alarming as it has almost doubled since 2004.

About Diabetes Type 2 and Type 1

This type of diabetes is considered a chronic disease and for patients who have this medical condition, their body is partly or completely not able to regulate its blood sugar levels.Their pancreas produces little or no hormone insulin required by the body to move sugar from the blood into the cells. This process needs to happen as in any normal person before these cells can use if for energy or keep as storage.

The most common types of diabetes are type 1 and type 2 diabetes.of the two, type 1 is less common and sufferers bodies have a total lack of insulin. Their pancreas’ cells die mostly because the immune system in their body has attacked them. These cells therefore cannot make anymore insulin.

On the other hand, diabetes type 2 persons’ body fail to produce the required insulin or even if they do, the cells in their body have become so resistant to the effects of insulin. Type 2 sufferers account for about 95 % of diabetes cases and is largely true for all countries.

Why Do Diabetes Decome Overweight and Obese

Well many people with diabetes don’t know what is a good diabetic diet. Accoding to many medical polls in many countries in the fight against this chronic disease weight control is often dificult among diabetics. Yes even if they know takling their weighty problem is the best way to fight diabetes. In many of these medical surveys, the overweight sufferers admitted that they were unsuccessful in controlling their weight problems. Many of thee people found it hard especially because their medical condition has made them snack more to relief their giddiness or frequent hunger pangs.

In th same surveys, results have also shown that more people are enjoying sedentary lifestyle and some occupations or the free availability of high calorie foods have made any weight reduction program a real challenge for themselves.

Medically though, becoming obese just means the pancreas must now produce a lot more insulin to be able to do the same level of work to lower blood sugar levels. It’s often a vicious cycle as that increased stress leads to the body developing type 2 diabetes. So it is therefore important to take things into perspective. A person who tries to lose about 5% of his body weight could help lower his blood glucose, reduced high high blood pressure as well as see an improvement in his blood fats. Hopefully that is motivation enough.

New Method To Manage Diabetes Type 2 Obese and Overweight Problems

It Medical advances today have some good news to help people treat and manage diabetes type 2 conditions.
