With today’s many medical researches on the types of diabetes that show promises of reversing diabetes not too distant away, millions of diabetics today are clinging to such medical breakthrough, and hope. Most people who suffer from any types of diabetes will tell you that “life goes on” meaning they have learned how to deal with their sickness or manage it.
The WebMD website strongly believes this too and uses an interesting example to remind us of the power of the human spirit and determination of a person:
“The award-winning television actress Mary Richards who portrayed — Mary Tyler Moore — also showed us diabetes and a career could coexist.
Moore was diagnosed with adult-onset type 1 diabetes in the 1960s, several years before her Emmy-winning show began. But that didn’t stop Moore from pursuing her career or turning the world on with a smile.
Today, millions of people afflicted with type 1 or type 2 diabetes are following in Moore’s footsteps. They’re refusing to let diabetes get in the way of their careers”
It’s really a matter of realizing that having any types of diabetes is not a death sentence. How well you coped with it depends much on the diabetic. While you will have many workday challenges which may not be easy for some, many have found how to deal with diabetes and to never let it interfere with their working careers, and life.
